This beautiful day was the last chapter from a fairy-tale romance, it had everything! A traditional Church wedding, a grand house set in beautiful surroundings, lot’s of delicate candlelight and flowers, exquisite Rolls Royce cars and the star of the show, Vanessa’s pride and joy, her horse!

When we first met Vanessa we discussed flower choices and Vanessa liked gravitated towards a selection of soft pink and white blooms, with a hint of peach. Masses of Roses and Hydrangea with British Stocks for scent, paired with Eucalyptus and Senseco New Look foliage (both pale foliage's) to minimise dark spots and keep the whole arrangement looking very bridal.

The whole day was captured beautifully by the insanely talented Sam Broadley Photography and all credit for these images goes to Sam.

Serious about flowers…

Vanessa asked to create a large bouquet with a foliage collar from the floral palette. She really wanted the congregation to notice the flowers and boy did they! To contrast against the bridesmaid’s dresses, we made smaller white versions of Vanessa’s bouquet.

When we presented the bouquets to Vanessa she was overwhelmed, “phew”, she loved them. Although we’ve never had an issue, this is always the most nerve-wracking part of a wedding for us. We think this healthy worry makes us obsess over the detail and ensure everything is perfect every time.

The Bridal Party 🎉

Vanessa’s bridesmaids carried smaller classic round posies in          neutral tones to contrast against their beautiful blush dresses. Even 5 year old Lyah had her own miniature version of the bridesmaid bouquet for her very important flower girl duties.

After buttoning on the 9 groomsmen simple Avalanche Rose buttonholes, and of course not forgetting the groom, we were ready to go!

A Steed Surprise!

Wow, we certainly didn’t see this coming. In all of our years as wedding specialists, we didn’t expect the star of the wedding to be Vanessa’s horse! As a total horse lover, Vanessa insisted that she wanted to share her big day with her pride and joy. With a beautifully groomed mane, her horse really did steal the show!

Well, it was a close second after Vanessa!

What an entrance

Well, we knew glamour was on the cards with this couple, and it doesn’t get much more glamorous than arriving at your reception in a Rolls Royce.

Vanessa and Nigel didn’t want just one nor two table centrepieces, they wanted three, and they all complimented each other perfectly. To create height and depth in the room, a number of tables had our flowers sat on tall copper frames which were supplied by the couple, sat elegantly on a bed of foliage, topped with floral arrangements using the flowers from the floral palette – they were simply stunning! The couples other table arrangements were low lying and elegant. A mixture of ribbon-decorated vessels and submerged flowers were displayed on the tables, amongst seasonal flowers and candles to create a wonderfully romantic atmosphere.
